Free Flex Data Terms of Service

In addition to the TextNow Terms of Use, these supplemental Free Flex Data Terms of Service (collectively, the “Supplemental Terms”) apply to a User’s enrolment and use of the Free Flex Data plan offered by TextNow (referred to as “Free Flex” or “Free Flex Data”). Capitalized but undefined terms used herein have the meanings assigned to those terms in the TextNow Terms of Use.
The Free Flex Data service provides Users with a prescribed amount of data usage, to be used for the limited purposes of accessing the internet for specific mobile applications, such as certain e-mail, navigation, and rideshare applications (collectively, the “Eligible Applications”). The list of Eligible Applications is subject to change at TextNow’s sole discretion, and TextNow does not guarantee the availability or classification of any mobile application as an Eligible Application. Free Flex Data is available and restricted to the U.S. only.
Usage Specifications:
During each monthly cycle, a User will have up to 550 megabytes of data available to use for Eligible Applications at speeds of up to 5 megabits per second. After 550 megabytes of data usage, speeds shall be limited to a maximum speed of up to 128 kilobits per second. The maximum total amount of data available under Free Flex Data is 1.15 gigabyte per monthly cycle. Unused data expires and does not roll over at the end of each monthly cycle.
Speeds and availability of Free Flex Data are not guaranteed and may vary depending on network availability and other factors.
These Supplemental Terms may be amended without notice by TextNow at any time. Free Flex Data is subject to availability and may be reduced or discontinued at any time without notice by TextNow.
Essential Data Terms of Service

These supplemental terms apply only to wireless Users who received and activated a TextNow SIM card prior to August 14, 2025 and who are enrolled in a legacy wireless plan that includes “Access to Essential Data” or “Essential Data” (the “Essential Data Add-on”). These terms are supplemental to and are incorporated into the TextNow Terms of Use. Capitalized but undefined terms used herein have the meanings assigned to those terms in the TextNow Terms of Use.
Legacy Plan Notice:
Essential Data is part of a legacy plan offering that is no longer available to new Users. Once a User transitions to a new plan or otherwise becomes ineligible, access to the Essential Data Add-on will be discontinued and these supplemental terms will no longer apply.
The Essential Data Add-on provides Users with a prescribed amount of data usage, to be used for the limited purposes of accessing the internet for specific “essential” mobile applications, such as certain e-mail, navigation, and rideshare applications (collectively, the “Eligible Applications”). The list of Eligible Applications is subject to change at TextNow’s sole discretion, and TextNow does not guarantee the availability or classification of any mobile application as an Eligible Application. The Essential Data Add-on is available within the U.S. only.

During each monthly cycle, a User will have up to 350 megabytes of data available to use for Eligible Applications at a speed of up to 5 megabits per second. Any subsequent usage during a monthly cycle for Eligible Applications shall be limited at a speed of 128 kilobits per second. Speeds and availability of the Essential Data Add-on are not guaranteed and may vary depending on network availability and other factors.
The maximum amount of data available under the Essential Apps Add-on within a monthly cycle is 1 gigabyte, and data made available for each monthly cycle shall expire at the end of the cycle.
These Supplemental Terms may be amended without notice by TextNow at any time. The Essential Apps Add-on is a legacy plan and may be reduced or discontinued at any time without notice by TextNow.
