And if you don't know how it's free, it's quite simple: TextNow passes the cost of phone service to advertisers, not its customers.
This means that while using the app for calling & texting, you will see some personalized ads. But you'll also be offered discounts and deals from your favorite brands, also known as TextNow Perks.
What is TextNow Perks?
TextNow Perks is a space in the TextNow app where brands like Hulu, Disney, Chime, Walmart, and more can post exclusive offers, discounts, or even freebies for TextNow customers (U.S.-only).
Where do I find TextNow Perks?
TextNow Perks is available in the mobile app, for both iPhones and Android phones, and you can also use TextNow on your desktop or tablet.
Once you install the app, open up the menu (bottom right) and find the "Perks" button to open up current offers!
How do I redeem an offer?
Once you find an offer that you like on TextNow, simply follow the on-screen instructions to redeem it. You may be taken outside of the TextNow app to complete the steps for offer redemption.
Can I redeem more than one offer?
Absolutely! There are no limits to how many offers on the TextNow perks wall you can redeem at one time.
What else can I get?
TextNow also has a Rewards Program, and you earn points simply by using your phone as you normally would. Points can be redeemed for in-app upgrades, such as going ad-free!
