Effective: June 15^th, 2024

In addition to the TextNow Terms of Use (available at https://www.textnow.com/legal/terms-of-use) and the TextNow Privacy Policy (available at https://www.textnow.com/legal/privacy), these Referral Program rules (the “Rules”) apply to eligible participants invited to take part in TextNow’s Referral Program, as such program may be available from time to time.  

As part of its Referral Program, TextNow may offer eligible users to refer friends or family to encourage them to use TextNow Services (where such Services are available), and receive certain rewards for such referrals in the form of discounts, incentives, credits, or money, as may be applicable (each, a “Reward”).  

 By referring individuals through the Referral Program process, or by signing up through the Referral Program, you are agreeing to be bound by these Rules. Violation of these Rules may prevent you from participating in any future Referral Programs offered by TextNow, and could also result in a forfeiture or retraction of Rewards earned through the Referral Program.  

Who is eligible participate in the Referral Program? 

An inviter or referrer may be any user invited by TextNow to participate in the Referral Program, who is a U.S. resident, of legal age where they reside, and has a TextNow account in good standing.  

An invitee or referee may be any individual you know, such as a friend or family member (but not yourself). An invitee/referee can only be referred once.  

To receive a Reward for referring someone to use TextNow services, your invitee/referee must: (a) be a new TextNow user who meets the conditions for using TextNow services, and (b) complete the actions required by the Referral Program (for example, accurately submitting a SIM card order and referral form, and providing your TextNow phone number as part of the referral form).  

Is there a limit to how often a user can participate in the Referral Program? 

TextNow may limit the number of times you may refer new users as part of the Referral Program, or the total Rewards that may be claimed under the Referral Program. Participation in the Referral Program is limited to personal and non-commercial purposes with only people you know. By providing TextNow with information about another person as part of the Referral Program, you represent that you have the right to provide that information.  

You agree that you will not (i) duplicate, sell, of transfer, or make available to the general public the applicable referral mechanism (including but not limited to, referral links, codes, phone numbers), (ii) spam, bulk e-mail, use scripts, bots, or automated systems, or automated dialers to participate in the Referral Program, (iii) make misleading claims or representations about TextNow or TextNow services, or (iv) participate in the Referral Program in a way that is fraudulent, or violates the law or the rights of anyone else.  

How do I earn my reward?  

Provided that you and your invitee follow these Rules, the Terms of Use, and any conditions specific to the Referral Program offers, and you have an activated account to receive the Rewards, you should receive your Reward after your referee/invitee uses your referral mechanism (e.g. code, phone number, form) to activate the referral offer, and complete the requirements for the particular Reward (for example, accurately submitting a SIM card order and referral form, and providing your phone number as part of the referral form).  

Referrers are limited to payouts in connection with a combined total of 5 referral offers. TextNow reserves the right to set a limit on the number of times you may use or share your referral mechanism.  

After completing the actions required as part of the Referral Program, the invitee needs to have an activated account (i.e. have all required documents uploaded and approved) to receive the payout.  

The requirements for receiving, and the amounts of, Rewards are subject to change at TextNow's sole discretion. Rewards in the form of TextNow credits are not transferable, have no cash value, and may expire. 

Changes to the Referral Program 

TextNow reserves the right to change, end, or pause, in whole or in part, any Referral Program, as well as any referrer/inviter's or referee/invitee's ability to participate in any Referral Program or receive Rewards at any time for any reason, including suspected fraud (including by either the referrer and/or referee/invitee), abuse, or any violation of these Rules as well as any agreement (if one exists) between you and TextNow or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates. 

TextNow may update these Rules at any time, and will post the update on its website and applications and provide you notice of the update. Continued participation in any Referral Program after any update will mean that you have agreed to the update.
