What Are You Saving For?
If you haven't managed to make it out by now, we really care about saving money here at TextNow (just head over to our site and try to count the amount of time we mention the words 'free' or 'save'). To no one's surprise, the desire to save isn't just exclusive to us---thousands of Americans have flocked to their computers in search of the all-encompassing answer to the question of how to save up for the things in life that matter.
Mint, a free budgeting app, recently published an article in which they highlighted which states are saving up for what, according to Google. Amongst the top searches over the past twelve months were: how to save for retirement, how to save for a house, and how to save for a car.
This research comes on the heels of various announcements from carriers such as AT&T and Verizon that claimed thousands of their customers couldn't pay their phone bills due to the COVID-19 crisis. So while many are trying to formulate a better plan for saving for things they can hopefully enjoy once it is safer to do so, many—still— are simply trying to get by. But that doesn't mean that the two can't be combined. If you can no longer afford your phone bill, we have alternatives that won't cost you a thing. And when you are able to pay a bill again, you can simply keep using the free service in order to save up for everything else.
But before you get worried that in order to buy a house or go on a well-deserved vacation, you have to completely cut out mobile data from your life, consider this: Changing your plan to meet your own needs should be a basic feature. Not a privilege. If there is a month that you can't afford your service, simply change your plan to our Free Nationwide Talk & Text service. It will still keep you in touch with the rest of the world through unlimited calling and texting, but also give you a bit of breather while you worry about paying for the more important things. And when you're ready to upgrade again, you can change your plan to our 2GB LTE or an Unlimited LTE service--- the power is quite literally all in your hands.
